Structural Characteristics
CJC-1295 without DAC (also known as Modified GRF 1-29 or Mod-GRF) is a synthetic analog of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of 29 amino acids. The modification of four amino acids (positions 2, 8, 15, and 27) enhances its resistance to enzymatic degradation while preserving its biological activity at the GHRH receptor.
Ipamorelin is a selective pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that acts through the ghrelin/GHS receptor (GHS-R1a). Unlike other GH secretagogues, Ipamorelin demonstrates high selectivity for GH release without significantly affecting cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH levels in preclinical studies. Both peptides are supplied as lyophilized powders with ≥98% purity.
Research Applications
Growth Hormone Secretion Studies: This combination is studied for its potential synergistic effect on GH release—CJC-1295 stimulates the GHRH pathway while Ipamorelin activates the ghrelin pathway, enabling researchers to examine the interaction of these two complementary secretion mechanisms.
Metabolic Research: Preclinical studies explore how pulsatile GH release patterns may influence metabolic parameters including lipid metabolism, glucose regulation, and body composition in animal models.
Age-Related Research: Researchers use this combination to investigate declining GH axis function in aging models and to study the potential for restoring physiological GH secretion patterns.
Recovery & Tissue Modeling: In vivo studies examine the effects of enhanced GH secretion on tissue repair, collagen synthesis, and musculoskeletal recovery in experimental models.
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized peptides at -20°C, protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2-8°C and use within 21 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Handle with appropriate laboratory PPE.
